Release stages: access, support, and change policy
Duale AI's release stage policy defines access, production qualification, support, and change policy for each stage from Private Preview through Retired.
Release stages define access, production readiness, support level, and change policy for Duale AI services and capabilities across five labeled stages.
- Badges on service pages state the offering's stage; on documentation pages they state publication stability.
- Preview stages have no automatic end date; a release date exists only when published.
- The applicable customer agreement controls legal obligations, change notices, service levels, and support.
- General Availability qualifies a service for production use; breaking changes use the deprecation process.
- Deprecated services allow existing workloads only during migration, per the deprecation notice terms.
Summaries were generated by AI. Generative AI is experimental.
On a service or capability page, the badge states the release stage of that offering. On a general documentation or policy page, it states only that page’s publication stability. It does not set the stage of the whole platform, a child page, or a linked page.
This page explains Duale AI’s product labeling policy. It does not change a customer agreement. The applicable agreement controls legal obligations, change notices, service levels, and support when its terms differ from this page.

Preview stages have no automatic end date. Customer use, corrected defects, architecture changes, operating evidence, and support readiness can move a service or capability toward General Availability. A release date exists only when Duale AI publishes one.
Private Preview
Private Preview limits access to selected customers and agreed test cases. Duale AI can change or stop the service or capability while it tests the interface and architecture. The applicable customer agreement controls change notices. Do not use it for a production workload. Support is best effort and can require direct work with the product team.
Public Preview
Public Preview removes the individual invitation but does not make the service or capability production-qualified. It can contain known or unknown defects. Its interface, behavior, limits, or availability can change, including through a breaking change. The applicable customer agreement controls change notices. Public Preview does not add a compatibility commitment. Support is best effort.
General Availability
General Availability means that Duale AI qualifies the service or capability for production use. The applicable customer agreement controls support, service levels, and change notices. Duale AI maintains the supported published behavior. A change that removes or breaks that behavior uses the deprecation and retirement process.
Deprecated
Deprecated means that Duale AI plans to remove a service, capability, interface, or behavior. Do not start new work on it. The deprecation notice identifies the affected interface or behavior, the replacement when one exists, the migration action, and the retirement date when Duale AI has set one. Existing production use can continue only within the terms and dates in that notice.
Retired
Retired means that the service, capability, interface, or behavior is no longer available. Calls can fail or the interface can be absent. Duale AI can keep the documentation available to explain the replacement, migration, or historical behavior, but that documentation does not restore operational support.
